Profession
Electric Vehicle Engineer
Designer of the mobility of the future.
As an electric vehicle engineer, you help design and build the cars, trucks, and other vehicles that run on electricity instead of gas. You work on electric motors, battery systems, charging technology, and the software and electronics that tie everything together. Day to day, you might model designs on a computer, run tests on batteries and components, analyze data, and solve problems to make vehicles safer, more efficient, and longer-range. You often work in teams with other engineers in offices, labs, and workshops, and sometimes on test tracks.
