A real estate agent helps people buy, sell, and rent homes and commercial properties. With sellers, you price the property, prepare it for market, list and promote it, show it, and negotiate offers. With buyers, you learn their needs and budget, find and tour properties, explain the process, and negotiate terms. You guide clients through inspections, financing, and closing, working with lenders, attorneys, inspectors, and title companies. Agents often set their own hours, with evenings and weekends common, and spend a lot of time driving, networking, and communicating.
