Profession
Pediatric Physiotherapist
Rehabilitates babies and children.
A pediatric physical therapist helps babies, children, and teens move, play, and take part in everyday life. On a given day you might work with an infant who has torticollis, a toddler who is late to walk, a child with cerebral palsy learning to use a walker, or a teenager recovering from a sports injury. Sessions look like play: games, obstacle courses, balance toys, and sometimes a pool. You also coach parents on exercises to do at home and write goals that families, doctors, and schools can follow together. Therapists often work with occupational and speech therapists as part of one team.
