Profession
Revenue Manager
Maximizing revenue room by room.
A revenue manager decides how much a hotel room should cost on any given night, and how many rooms to offer through which channels. You track bookings, local events, seasons, competitor prices, and online demand, then adjust rates to fill the hotel at the best overall return. A normal day might include reviewing a forecast, changing prices on booking sites, meeting with sales and front office teams, and explaining to the general manager why a strategy worked or didn't. Most of the work happens on a computer, inside a hotel or a corporate office.
