Profession
Packaging Specialist
Packaging that protects and sells.
A packaging specialist makes sure products are packed so they arrive safe, compliant, and cost-effectively. You choose or test materials, design how items are boxed and protected, work out how much fits on a pallet, and coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, and carriers. When a product keeps getting damaged in shipping or packaging costs climb, you investigate the cause and propose changes. Your work takes place in offices, labs, factories, and distribution centers, often moving between all three.
