Profession
Risk Analyst
Calculated risk is controlled risk.
A risk analyst helps a financial company understand what could go wrong and how badly. You study how markets move, how likely borrowers are to repay, and how easily assets can be sold, then turn that into reports and warnings for managers and executives. On a regular day you may build or update a statistical model, check whether the firm is staying within its limits, run stress tests that imagine a downturn, and explain your results to people who need to make decisions. It is mostly desk work with spreadsheets, databases, and programming tools.
