Profession
Film Colorist
It provides the visual atmosphere to the film.
As a film colorist, you shape the look and mood of movies, TV shows, commercials, and music videos through color. Day to day, you work at a specialized editing suite adjusting the color, brightness, and contrast of every shot so the whole project feels consistent and intentional. You might make a scene feel warm and nostalgic, cold and tense, or bold and vibrant, all through careful grading. You match shots so they flow together, fix problems from the shoot, and bring the director's and cinematographer's vision to life. You work closely with those creative leads, often near the end of production, and your choices give a film much of its emotional atmosphere.
