Profession
Test Automation Engineer
Ensures quality with automated testing.
A test automation engineer writes code that tests other code. Instead of checking an app by hand every time something changes, you build automated tests that run on their own: tests of how different parts of a system talk to each other, tests that click through a user interface, and tests that measure speed under load. You connect those tests to the pipeline that builds and releases software, investigate failures, and keep the suite reliable. You work closely with developers, QA colleagues, and product managers, and you care about catching problems before customers do.
