Profession
Cloud Engineer
Scalable cloud infrastructure
As a cloud engineer, you build and run the online infrastructure that keeps apps and websites working for millions of people. Instead of physical servers in a closet, you set up computing power, storage, and networking on platforms like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. Day to day you write scripts and configuration files that spin up systems automatically, watch dashboards for performance and cost, fix outages when something breaks, and work with developers to make sure their code runs reliably. Much of the work happens in code and command lines, often on a team using chat and video since cloud work is friendly to remote setups.
