Profession
Anesthesiologist
Safety and comfort in every procedure.
You are the physician who keeps patients safe, pain-free, and stable during surgery and other procedures. Day to day you evaluate patients before an operation, plan and deliver anesthesia, and monitor their breathing, heart, and vital signs closely throughout, adjusting moment to moment. You also manage pain after surgery and often care for critically ill patients in intensive care. Much of your work happens in the operating room as part of a surgical team, where calm focus and split-second judgment protect the patient at every step.
