Profession
Tax Analyst
Correct taxes, protected company
A tax analyst helps a company or a firm make sure taxes are calculated correctly and filed on time. You gather financial data, prepare the calculations behind returns, reconcile accounts, and research how rules apply to specific transactions. You also help respond to notices from tax agencies and support audits by pulling together documents. Much of the work happens in spreadsheets and accounting systems, and you spend time with accountants, finance managers, and sometimes outside advisors, especially around filing deadlines.
