Production Planning and Control Engineer
Plans and controls production.
A production planning and control engineer makes sure a factory or production system makes the right products, in the right amounts, at the right time. You build production schedules, plan materials and capacity, track progress against the plan, and respond when something goes wrong, such as a late shipment, a machine breakdown, or a rush order. You work closely with purchasing, warehouse, quality, and plant operations teams, and you rely on data and planning software to keep the whole system balanced.
