Profession
UI Designer
Beautiful interfaces that work.
A UI designer shapes how a digital product looks and how its pieces behave on the screen. You design screens for apps and websites, choosing layout, color, type, icons, buttons, and states such as hover, error, and loading. Much of the day is spent in design software building mockups and reusable components, reviewing them with product managers and UX designers, and handing finished work to developers with clear specifications. You check that designs are consistent, accessible, and work on different screen sizes.
