Profession
Packaging Designer
The packaging that sells before the product.
A packaging designer creates the boxes, bottles, bags, labels, and containers that hold products and help them stand out. You work out how a package looks, how it opens, how it protects what is inside, and how it communicates a brand on a crowded shelf or in a shipping box. Your day might involve sketching concepts, building mockups, creating artwork in design software, working with printers and manufacturers, and revising designs based on feedback and testing. You balance appearance with materials, cost, and sustainability.
