Profession
Crisis Communication Manager
Protects reputations in difficult times.
As a crisis communication manager, you help companies, organizations, and public figures protect their reputation when something goes wrong. When there is a scandal, an accident, a product recall, or a viral backlash, you are the calm voice guiding what gets said, when, and how. Day to day you monitor the news and social media, prepare response plans before trouble hits, write statements, coach spokespeople, and coordinate with legal and leadership teams under intense time pressure. Much of your work is preventive too, building the playbooks and relationships that make a real crisis easier to handle. When things heat up, you may be on call at any hour.
