Profession
Director of photography
The image that moves you even before words speak.
As a director of photography, also called a cinematographer, you shape the look of films, series, and commercials. Day to day, you work with the director to plan how each scene will be shot, then lead the camera and lighting crews to bring that vision to life. You choose cameras and lenses, design the lighting, and control composition, color, and movement to create the mood a story needs. On set, you make quick creative and technical decisions while managing your team. Between shoots, you plan, scout locations, and test setups. The work blends artistry, technical mastery, and leadership.
