Profession
Project Coordinator
Integration and quality in projects
In architecture and construction, a project coordinator keeps the design disciplines working together. You collect drawings from architects, structural engineers, and electrical and plumbing consultants, then check them against each other to catch conflicts, such as a duct running through a beam, before they become expensive problems on site. You track revisions, run coordination meetings, maintain schedules and document logs, and make sure everyone is working from the current version. Your days split between the office, video calls, and occasional site visits.
