Many engagement specialists earn a bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, communications, or business, and a community college transfer path is an affordable start. Skills in analyzing survey data, planning programs, and communicating well matter more than any single major. Internships in HR, experience organizing events or clubs, and certifications in human resources or employee engagement all strengthen your profile. Learning to work with survey and people-analytics tools is a real plus.
