As an Audiovisual Producer, you are the person who makes a video production actually happen, from first idea to finished piece. You might be lining up a film crew one hour and reviewing an edit the next. Much of the work is project-based and freelance, so careers often start with assistant roles on individual productions, then grow as you take on coordinating and then producing larger projects. Building a reputation for keeping shoots organized and on budget is what leads to bigger opportunities. This career fits you if you are organized, calm under pressure, and energized by juggling many moving parts at once. You should be a strong communicator, a natural problem-solver, and comfortable making decisions when plans change on the fly, which they always do.
